This tea is grown in the Alishan region of Taiwan at an elevation of 1,350 to 1,400 meters. Made from the Qingxin Oolong tea cultivar, it is harvested in late summer and fully fermented to produce a rich black tea.
Although cultivated using conventional farming methods, no pesticides are applied. As a result, tea green leafhoppers (Jacobiasca formosana) are allowed to thrive—an indicator of natural, pesticide-free farming. When these insects bite the tea leaves, the tea plants respond with a natural defense mechanism that releases unique aromatic compounds. This process creates the tea’s distinctive and complex honey aroma.
The tea liquor is bright, clear red in color, with a mellow, smooth texture and sweet aftertaste. Its rich honey fragrance and refined flavor make it a rare and exceptional black tea.
